The BC Government is planning on cutting arts funding in the province by 92%, which will have devastating results. Mike Jackson was one of several directors asked to make a PSA protesting the cuts:

MIKE JACKSON NOMINATED FOR EMMY
Steam Powered's Mike Jackson has been nominated for outstanding editing in the 28th annual News and Documentary Emmy Awards. Mike is nominated for his work on the CBS / History Channel program Beyond Top Secret, about covert operations at the start of the Iraq war. Produced by Peter W. Klein, the show was also nominated in the outstanding research category.

HELL'S HABIT WINS BLOODSHOTS
Hell's Habit was an entry in the 2006 Bloodshots 48-hour horror film competition, and swept the awards for the Vancouver chapter (international results are still pending). Shot on super-8mm film and developed by hand in a single weekend, it was honored with Best Picture, Best Acting, Best Editing and Best Costumes!

We shot two new music videos in late January, produced by Robin Chan and Like Minded Media. The videos, for Vancouver's Dave Stephens and Third Eye Tribe, are now both in post-production.

Starting this month Dial 'A' for Alphaman will be in rotation on both Space: The Imagination Station and the new Drive-In Classics channel. In addition, Frequency Zero will be appearing this season on CBC's Zed. Watch for them!
